Purwakarta – In an effort to increase understanding and application of branding strategies in the tourism and creative economy sectors, the Head of the Information Systems and Technology Education Study Program (PSTI) at the Indonesian Education University (UPI) Purwakarta, Ir. Nuur Wachid Abdul Majid, M.Pd., was the speaker at the workshop which focused on marketing development through digital media.
The workshop with the theme "Branding Strategy for Tourism Marketing Development and Creative Economy Through Digital Media" was held at Bungursari Lake Park on August 30 2023. This event was attended by various groups with an interest in developing the tourism and creative economy sectors in Purwakarta Regency.
In his talk session, Head of PSTI Study Program, Ir. Nuur Wachid Abdul Majid, M.Pd., shared his views and knowledge about digitalization of branding in tourism marketing and the creative economy in today's digital era. In the material presented, he highlighted the importance of doing business on social media and how digital technology can be optimized to increase marketing appeal and reach.
"In today's digital era, the use of digital media is an important key in building effective branding and marketing, especially in the tourism and creative economy sectors. "Through social media, we can reach a wider audience and provide a deeper experience to customers," said the Head of PSTI Study Program.
This workshop is a useful forum for participants to understand how branding strategies can be applied in the context of tourism and the creative economy. With the knowledge and insight provided by the Head of PSTI Study Program, it is hoped that participants can optimize the use of digital media in an effort to promote tourism potential and local creativity.
This event also shows UPI Purwakarta's commitment to participating in encouraging the development of the tourism sector and creative economy in the region through an innovative digital technology approach.
