On July 19 and 20, 2024, students from the Information Systems and Technology Education Study Program Student Association (HIMAPSTI) held a Social Project (SOSPRO) activity in Sumurugul Village, Wanayasa, to provide a positive contribution in the field of education and technology to the local community.

On the first day, the students taught grade 2 and grade 6 students of SDN Sumurugul. Grade 2 students received basic lessons in reading and arithmetic through interesting interactive methods. They were introduced to letters, how to spell words, read simple sentences, and learn addition and subtraction through educational games. Meanwhile, grade 6 students learned about the wise use of gadgets and how to create animations from images, with the aim of improving their digital literacy and creativity.

This activity was warmly welcomed by students and teachers. The Principal of SDN Sumurugul, Mr. Iyan Sudiyana, expressed his appreciation to HIMAPSTI for this initiative and hoped that similar activities would continue. "We are very grateful to HIMAPSTI students for the knowledge provided. This is very useful for our students," he said.

Aura, the Chief Executive of SOSPRO, said, "We hope that through this activity, we can provide a positive impact and motivate the children at SDN Sumurugul to continue to be enthusiastic about learning and developing themselves."

On the second day, the activity continued with the installation of street lights in five locations with minimal lighting. The lights use solar panel technology, utilizing solar energy for lighting, with the aim of improving the comfort and safety of the village environment.

In addition, the SOSPRO event was also enlivened by various competitions involving village children and the committee. The competitions were designed to strengthen intimacy and increase the spirit of togetherness among villagers.

The activity ended with a socialization about the importance of education and good waste management. This socialization aims to increase public awareness of the importance of education in improving the quality of life and maintaining a clean environment.

This SOSPRO activity not only provides real benefits for the people of Sumurugul Village, but also strengthens the relationship between students and villagers. The spirit of mutual cooperation and concern shown by HIMAPSTI students is expected to inspire other young generations to participate in contributing to community development. With the end of this activity, HIMAPSTI students hope to continue useful social programs in the future and make this experience a valuable lesson in community life.
