PSTI Study Program Organizes an Adjunct Professor Program by Inviting a Lecturer from UPSI Malaysia

The Study Program of Education Systems and Information Technology (PSTI) at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) Purwakarta campus is organizing an Adjunct Professor Program, featuring speakers from two prominent universities in Malaysia. The program will feature Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohamed Nor Azhari Azman from Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris and Dr. Lily Muliana Mustaffa from City University Malaysia.

The presence of these guest lecturers is expected to support UPI in achieving its goal of becoming a World Class University and to increase the publications of lecturers and the academic community. This program will run from June 3 to 28, 2024, and will be conducted both online and offline.

Assist. Prof. Nuur Wachid Abdul Majid, the Head of the Study Program of Education Systems and Information Technology and the Chair of the Adjunct Professor Program 2024, stated that this program aims to enhance the quality of UPI's academic community and expand its network with international scholars.

"This activity provides opportunities for the academic community to publish their scientific works in reputable international journals, become visiting scientists at leading global campuses, and support UPI's efforts towards becoming a World Class University in the future," explained Nuur Wachid.

Additionally, Nuur Wachid added that this program aligns with the UPI Rector's target for UPI to be ranked among the top 1000 universities in the world by 2025. The program also aims to achieve the University's Keys Performance Index (KPI's) agreed upon between the rector and the relevant ministry.

The activities in this program include workshops on scientific article writing and publication in reputable journals, thesis defense examinations for PSTI students, mentoring for UPI journal managers, and visits to TK-SD Labschool UPI.

Furthermore, the program also involves leaders of higher education institutions in Purwakarta Regency, with the hope that these institutions will continue to grow and establish collaborations at the international level.
