UPI Purwakarta Campus Holds Preparatory Meeting for Even Semester Lectures and Employee Performance Evaluation 2024

Purwakarta, January 30, 2025 – Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) Purwakarta Campus held a preparatory meeting for the start of the 2024/2025 Even Semester lectures and an evaluation of employee performance in 2024 on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at 09.00 WIB in the Smart Classroom. This meeting was attended by campus leaders, lecturers, and education staff to discuss strategic steps in improving the quality of learning and academic management.

In this meeting, the Director of UPI Purwakarta Campus emphasized the importance of thorough preparation for the upcoming lectures. He reminded that lecturers must carry out the Tridharma of Higher Education well, which includes teaching, research, and community service. One of the main targets going forward is that each study program (prodi) is expected to have a fostered village as a real manifestation of academics' contribution to empowering the community.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Director also highlighted the importance of maintaining mental health, both for lecturers and students. He emphasized that an unhealthy mentality is often formed from small habits that are ignored. For example, in educating children, the habit of prohibiting children excessively with words such as "don't" can have an impact on their emotional development, so that children become less mentally stable. Therefore, a more positive approach in daily interactions is needed, both in the family and academic environment.

In addition, this meeting also serves as a discussion forum related to increasing the effectiveness of learning methods, obstacles faced in the academic process, and strategic solutions to improve the quality of education at UPI Purwakarta Campus.

With this meeting, all participants are expected to be more prepared to face the new semester and contribute to creating a healthier, more inclusive, and more innovative academic environment.
